Alarming  statistics
Over 75% of today’s youth drop out of church during college and
abandon their faith!
Only 5% of today’s youths’ belief system fits the criteria of being
born again!
Only 4% of today’s youth have a Biblical view of Jesus, God,
Scripture and Satan!
In every generation of youth since the WW2 Baby Boomers, the
number of youth accepting Christ has decreased by 50%!

Dear Youth Directors:

Needless to say, we are losing the battle to Satan for our youths’ souls.
Mid-Continent University desires to have a supporting role with community churches and their youth workers in seeking to turn the tide. We believe at Mid-Continent University the above trends can be traced to our schools’ abandonment of the teaching of Bible Creation. Throughout our youths’ education, they are fed a steady diet of evolution and are taught man is just another animal, descended from the monkey.

Can your youth defend their belief in Creation? Are your youth ready to face atheistic professors?

Mid-Continent is hosting a two-day conference called, “Defenders of the Faith.” Our first annual youth conference will be on Monday and Tuesday, June 16th and 17th. Our conference focus will be on Biblical Creation, to prepare our students to defend their faith in the classroom setting. Speakers from Ken Ham’s ministry, “Answers in Genesis,” will be our guest speakers for the conference. There will be fifty-five minute conferences each day followed by breakout sessions where the youth can ask questions to participating youth directors. During the afternoon, a fun recreation time is planned or youth can choose to participate in a short basketball clinic led by MCU Men’s Basketball Coach, Winston Bennett, or a soccer clinic lead by MCU Soccer Coach Joe Zakowicz. The day events will be held on Mid-Continent’s campus. The evening sessions will be moved to Trace Creek Baptist Church to accommodate the crowd as we will open the conference to any churches desiring to participate. There will be a fee of $25 to cover food costs. We will waive the fee of any youth this would prohibit from attending. There are a limited number of dorms available on a first come, first serve basis. The conference is limited to high school youth.

Church chaperones are required. A brochure will soon follow with more details including registration information.
